Doug Johnson has become a popular guest on talk shows as a political pundit because of his Horse Sense Blog.  With a clear view of the political world from an outsider’s perspective, Doug’s commentary has become popular with average Americans who appreciate his straight talking style and honest analysis.  And this all came about because Doug realized that the economic downturn in our country was having such a huge impact on the business community and families nationwide. He felt it was time for someone to offer comment about what was happening to America.  Doug's uncanny accuracy has caused radio talk show hosts to refer to him as the Nostradamus of political commentary.

Legendary talk show host Barry Farber, with over 50 years in radio and rated as one of the top 10 radio talk show hosts of all time says:  "Doug Johnson is the all-time classical great talk-show guest. He has a clear message, a great background entitling him to sell that message, great powers of articulation and, above all, he either deliberately or instinctively illustrates every one of his points with a powerful personal story. In the too-good-to-be-true department, he even knows to come in for a landing when he hears the bridge music indicating it's time for a commercial break!"

But before he began his political commentary, he had spent his life as a businessman. When the Recession began in 2008 Doug Johnson looked back at his successful business career of over 30 years and realized that he had an obligation to do something that had a farther reach than he could have with only his consulting business.  In his career he'd learned the secrets of the  successful businesses that not only survived, but thrived during the Great Depression.  Doug knew he had to share that knowledge so that employees, employers, and businesses today could learn how they, too, could survive and thrive regardless of the economy.

After years of friends and clients telling him to write a book to help businesses, he finally decided to do just that when he saw so many individuals and businesses hurting from the impact of the Recession, which now, he believes, has become a depression.  His first book became an award winner and his new book is causing more excitement than the first.  In addition, he does public speaking and radio and TV appearances to have a wider impact and help more people.
